"Family-run, local and genuinely lovely. Devvan and Donna both know their stuff and you can tell they really care. My Schnauzer gets the perfect breed cut every time and I wouldn't trust anyone else. 10/10 Academy."
No — the "Academy" is just our name and our philosophy. We're a full-service professional dog groomers. Every dog gets treated like a top scholar: calm one-at-a-time attention, organic products, breed-specific cuts. Training classes aren't part of the curriculum (yet).
Call or text 07933 633078, fill in the enrol form below, or DM us on Instagram @doggyacademy. We're open Mon–Fri 8am–4pm, Sat 9am–1pm, closed Sunday.
We lead with organic oat-based shampoos and conditioners as standard — they're gentle, naturally soothing and perfect for sensitive or itchy skin. If your dog has a specific skin condition or you'd prefer something medicated/bring-your-own, just tell us at booking and we'll work around it.
We start with a quick hello so your dog can settle, chat through the cut you're after, and then work at your dog's pace. Puppies get a shorter "orientation" session — bath, brush, introduction to the dryer, a tiny tidy — so they associate grooming with calm and praise from the start.
Coat-first, always. If matting is mild we'll work through it gently. If it's tight to the skin, we'll talk honestly — it's kinder to shave down and grow fresh than to cause your dog distress. No judgement, just a plan that's best for your dog's welfare.
Not quite — doggy daycare is on the syllabus for a future term. If you'd like to be on the early-access list, mention "daycare waitlist" on the enrol form and we'll get in touch the moment term starts.
